One of my more interesting tasks here at the Press is to help with the selection of images for use on our website. For this blog, I am very lucky in being able to choose from tens of thousands of photos and other graphics from our Loyola Press library. To be truthful, it normally doesn’t take me very long to choose an image to go with what I’m writing about. Perhaps that’s pretty obvious!
This morning, however, I was helping Lisa choose a couple of images for our “Glimpses of Grace” stories that appear on the Homepage of Loyola Press. Trying to find an image that speaks to “inner freedom for adults” and “what it means for me to be holy” is pretty complicated and we looked at hundreds of possibilities before choosing a slate of candidates from which others will make the final choice.
Bravo to Judine and to all our designers who make our books and other materials look (and “feel”) so great!
