Eric,

I, too, often forget to thank God for the downpour of love and grace with which we are constantly showered. That's why we have each other as sisters and brothers - we remind one another that we live in a reign (forgive the dreadful pun) of grace and that we are to be, at the very least, grateful.

God bless you, Paul.

Your simple sharing of your rejoicing in life is a blessing. Such celebration of life is something I have been very poor at, even when I was very healthy, blessed as I continue to be with love from my wife, Ruth, and my daughter, Robyn, love from many friends, and a satisfying career that provided for our needs and my daughter's education. I have spent too much time worrying and fretting, and not enough time celebrating, with thanksgiving to God, a tasty pizza, beautiful flowering plants, the Santa Cruz mountains surrounding Los Gatos, CA, the spectacular Pacific Ocean just over those mountains, etc. Now I am in the Pacific Northwest and today we saw Mount Hood covered with snow, and I forgot to thank our loving God for this spectacular sight. Please continue to share your love of God's simple gifts with us.
