Shh. Don’t tell anyone, but I took an extra hour in bed this morning. It meant that I arrived at work after most people got here and I was the recipient of many welcoming greetings instead of the giver.
Our President here at Loyola Press, George A. Lane, S.J., is greatly beloved by the staff and one of the reasons for this is that every morning he goes around our 80+ employees and says “Hello” to each and every one of us. He know about us, our families and all the big and small challenges and joys that we face. His greeting is a simple gift, but it is a powerful one.
