Regular readers know how much I admire the insights of Margaret Silf, author of Inner Compass and Compass Points (among other fine titles.) Margaret came to the Press last week and talked to us about “transitions.” She held us spellbound, not only because she spoke with zest and from the heart, but because so many of us are, in different ways, experiencing fairly major transitions – pregnancy, spouse’s job loss, divorce, retirement, etc..
Here Margaret talks with our own Steve Connor about finding God:
Remember, there’s still time to enter the “Hearts on Fire” give-away that we started yesterday…

Paul and other bloggers,
First, I love Margaret’s discussion of being “surprised” by God.
Secondly, I noted all the names I have not seen before who are hoping to get a copy of “Hearts on Fire”. I would really love to read the sharings of all you people more frequently. I know that I am not bashful about commenting, and maybe I could use a bit more shyness. But I just know that all of you have rich prayer and life experiences, reflections on what you read, and other insights to spread to all of us who read Paul’s blog. I for one would really like to hear more from you.

Eric,
I am thrilled that you are not bashful about commenting and hope that you won’t start feeling inhibited. It seems that a rule of blogging is that 90-95% of readers “lurk” without saying anything. I’m so grateful when you write, because it lets me know that there is someone “out there” and I’m not sending messages into the void!

Thank you Paul.
I am having a very hard time in my family at the moment, so wish to ask all of you for prayers for good health and a new future for my loved ones… please, as I really need them.
Regards to you, Toolah.

No Paul, you are not sending messages “into the void” and Eric is not the only person who reads your very interesting comments on this blog.
I have been reading everything for quite a while but have had some hesitation with wanting to contribute to the blog, since I thought I didn’t have anything good or positive to say.
Now I know better… I think that I can feel safe by just being myself, saying what I want to say directly from my heart.
Paul, you are doing a great job here and I truly enjoy your blog. You don’t have to do this, but you do and I admirer you for that… THANK YOU.
Eric and all other posters… thank you so much for all your input which I have really enjoyed to read. May God bless each and everyone of you and I am looking forward to everything in the future.
Kindest Regards, Toolah.

Tom… I second you on your comment to Eric. I too think he has done quite a lot for me to make me look at my relationship with God in a deeper way.
