And now a word from our sponsor… Terry Locke, Chief Operating Officer of Loyola Press – my boss!, talks for 58 seconds about how St. Ignatius motivates her. Enjoy.

Nicely done, Terry. Yes, God is present!

I have been asked to preach at the Sunday Masses at our church on August 9, something of course I do not regularly do. I have already written my homily and have been busy fretting about whether the words are the right words, will they touch the hearts of the community, etc. This morning in prayer Jesus reminded me where the words came from and Whose job it is to touch hearts. I forget and forget and forget that God is present, loving, guiding, inspiring, and permeating our realities. Our most important job is to recognize and remember and accept the work that He/She is doing.

Great insights into Ignatius, how he was inspired, and his penchant for action. Like Terry Locke, I’m grateful for his example.
