Last Friday, I wrote about www.pray-as-you-go.org and today I want to introduce you to Living Space which is a lesser-known part of the ground-breaking Sacred Space website from the Irish Jesuits. Living Space provides high-quality commentaries on the daily readings that are both informational and inspirational.
Try it. You’ll like it.

Since the topic is sources for meditation on the daily readings, I have another recommendation. I do not remember if you have already presented this. I found out about it from a Jesuit in Portland, OR. It is provided by the Creighton University Online Ministries. It is called the Daily Reflection Calendar.

One of things I like very much about these meditations is that they are provided by a variety of people, men and women, religious and lay (I wish there were other words to differentiate these last sets of people.). The content of their meditations reflects their varied states in life. I especially recommend Fr. Roc O’Connor, S.J. whose commentary is always insightful and challenging.
Thanks, Paul. We will be using both sacredspace.ie and Creighton online ministries to continue Meeting Christ in Prayer. We finished the 8-week program and none of the participants wanted to stop.
Eric & Michele,
I’m glad you both have discovered and use the Creighton Online Ministries site and am only chagrined if I didn’t feature them prominently enough earlier on. Andy Alexander and Maureen do amazing things with a shoestring budget and their “spare” time. I’m a huge fan of theirs.
Paul
P.S. Larry Gillick, who does the Sunday Reflections, was my Teritan Director.
