I came across this image of manila folders and was immediately struck by how beautiful it was – at least to my eyes. A bunch of folders. Normally I wouldn’t give them a second glance, but arranged like this they become startling and attractive. All around us are beautiful things, if only we had eyes to see them.
All around me are God’s graces, if only my soul could perceive them…

I read this and opened my eyes to see: the four spoons on my desk this morning, remnants of yesterday’s writing extravaganza, graceful links in a chain of hot cups of tea, research notes, and written words; the steam rising from this morning’s cup, momentarily revealing the gently swirling patterns of air in the room…
what else might be momentarily revealed if I would take the time to look and to see?

Wonderful. Thank you! Your post conjured up a memory from 40+ years ago when I was an art student. One day our drawing teacher opened our 3-hour studio by saying, “draw” before leaving the room without setting up a display of…anything. A world of wood grain, reflections on the windows, and patterns in ceiling tiles opened up. Transcendent.

I have been entirely wrapped up in the world of fixing computer problems for the past two months or so. It is good to be back here again; good to be reminded of the important things in life.
About a year ago, I bought three, 3-ring binders. One for my music and choir studies, another for my computer tech notes and another for my personal writings.
One binder is coloured red, one is blue and the other is yellow. I heard once, in 1972, that in the world of mysticism, the primary colours have meaning: blue is for love, yellow is for praise and red is for gratitude: love, praise and gratitude, reflected in the creations all around us.
Oh yes, I also remember that the colour green signified bringing the love, priase and gratitude constantly being sung by the heavenly choirs down to earth, to live within us.
My head has been in a merky cloud of fog lately. Thank you for the reminders.

Thank you, all, for your wonderful images of God’s love. I need to open my eyes wider.
