Commenting on Slovenian Jazz! from about a week ago, faithful reader Eric wrote, “The first time I ever had a contemplative experience of God, I was listening to music. Music has been an important soul opener for me ever since.” I am taken with the idea of a “soul opener,” for such things really do exist. For me, the most reliable soul openers are being by the ocean, looking at the love between a baby and a mother, and going into certain churches.
What have been your best and/or favorite soul openers?
