It is with unbelievable sadness and a broken heart that I tell you our dear sweet Eric passed away on February 14th at 1 AM. I know God welcomed him home with open arms and granted him peace, for he was a wonderful man. He fought a courageous 3 year battle, but ALS is relentless and always wins. Eric generously donated his body to ALS research in hopes of helping them to find a cure for this horrible disease.
Memorial services will be held in Vancouver, WA, San Jose, CA and Los Angeles, CA. I will let you know the dates and places. We would like to thank our “Community of Care” group for taking such wonderful care of Eric and “us”. We are forever grateful to all our family and friends who have supported and loved us on this journey. Eric’s passing will create such a huge void for us. Please keep Eric and us in your thoughts and prayers.
Please donate to help us defeat ALS in memory of Eric.
As Ruth says, I know that his pain and suffering are at an end and that he is in the arms of the Lord. Like you, however, I suspect that I am in shock over this news. I knew it was coming, but I didn’t want to face it. I kept putting off contacting Ruth because I didn’t want to hear bad news about him. Although I only met him once face-to-face, he became a dear friend. I will miss him terribly. Let’s keep him, Ruth, Robin and Mike in our thoughts and fiercest prayers.
May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen
