“This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad.” [Psalm 118:24]
Alice Camille reminds us that, “Easter is truly a verb, a dynamic event pushing upward from the darkness into the light.” It reminds me of the Buckminster Fuller quote in the “Words of Wisdom” section: “God is a verb, not a noun proper or improper.”
What I like about both of these thoughts is that they underline God’s close, personal and ongoing relationship with us. Our God is not a distant deity, but the God revealed to us in Jesus Christ. The God who gave us His Son. The God who loves us more than we can dare to hope or imagine.
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!
