On the radio the other night I heard a segment about what advice people would give to their 20-year younger selves, if they were given the opportunity.
In thinking about what sage words I would say to Paul as a 37-year-old, I was somewhat surprised to hear myself say, “Stop. Don’t react or act in any way when you’re feeling strongly about something. Allow your emotions to subside first. You’ll never regret it.” (I’m trying to follow that advice now, of course, and am still not achieving a Buddha-like calm!)
So, what would you say to yourself 20 years younger than you are now?
