Recently, at Sunday Mass, the homilist was talking about babies as being “Velcro for God,” meaning, of course, that they are so beautiful and good that they help turn our thoughts to God and God’s goodness to us.
I started to think of things that I find are “Velcro for God” and came up with the following:
- Beautiful landscapes
- Flowers and trees
- Acts of generosity and kindness
- Evidence of love
- Lovely empty churches and zen temples
- Great art
I could go on and on…
What’s your “Velcro for God”?
